What is Mesotherapy?
Mesotherapy is a treatment technique that involves injecting a small amount of a customized mixture of conventional pharmaceutical or homeopathic medications, vitamins, minerals, amino acids and enzymes into the mesoderm – or middle layer of skin. These very small doses of the substances are administered using tiny needles in specific areas depending on the condition being treated. Mesotherapy is a technique used to treat a broad range of concerns both cosmetic and medical.
How is Mesotherapy performed?
Although these treatments can be carried out with a basic syringe and needle, we at the HSJ Clinic, prefer to use a mesotherapy gun as this reduces the time taken and the discomfort. Having cleansed the skin we apply apply an anaesthetic cream for 30-45 minutes. The cream is removed and the skin cleaned again. The mesotherapy products, depending on the indication, are then injected into the skin with minimal if any discomfort.
Are there any side effects?
After the treatment there is usually NO discomfort other than a little stinging depending on the products used. This will have been discussed during your consultation. There may be a little swelling, erythema (redness) and possibly bruising all of which resolves within 24 -72 hours. To minimize the slight risk of Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation (PIH) we recommend avoidance of excessive sun exposure.
How many sessions are needed?
Improvement in skin appearance can be seen after 1 treatment. However, depending on the condition of the skin pre-treatment and desired outcome, 2 -3 sessions may be recommended. Maintenance treatments will also be advisable.
Can I use other Treatments with Mesotherapy?
Mesotherapy can either be used as a single treatment entity or used in conjunction with additional procedures such as Medical Microdermabrasion, Chemical Peels, Mico-needling, Laser treatments etc to achieve the desired results. We always discuss treatment options/plans during your free consultation/assessment.
MesoBio Lift & RadioFrequency (Needleless Mesotherapy)
The Mesobiolift RF repair mechanism stimulates the cells in all cutaneous strata, thereby activating their self-regenerating properties. This intracellular activity reconstructs the bio-redensifying network that keeps our tissue fixed in place. RÖS’S recommends a treatment protocol with Supreme CELL, its stem cell enriched conductive emulsion.
THE RÖS’S PLEDGE: Quicker results as collagen production inside the dermis is accelerated and cell regeneration is triggered by the stem cells in the Supreme Cell cosmetic product.
